Even though man has created numerous systems and technology to better our standard of living, are we truly making progress? Or are we just going one step closer to destroying our home?
Many people are not aware of our environment's current state. Well, to be exact, they do not care about our planet deteriorating. This may be because they truly aren't interested about what happens to our environment or they simply do not understand the importance of it. But regardless of their reasons, it is not right to treat Earth as a trash can.

Proper waste management is a topic that has been an issue for how many decades now. Even before the pandemic occurred, plastic bags and other wastes have found its way into our seas. Our air and land has also been polluted by various substances and energies created by human activities (i.e. chemical manufacturing, burning fossil fuels, deforestation, etc). Such pollutants not only destroy our environment, but also endanger our lives and health. That is why we must work together to protect our planet. As stated by Barry Commoner, only global action will solve this problem.
